Competitions and TournamentsAtlantic Coast Wrestling Club (ACWC) wants all wrestlers to compete in both team dual and individual competitions. While participation at these events is highly encouraged, it is not mandatory. Wrestlers may choose to attend all events, some of the events, or none of the events and only attend practices. Whatever the choice, the participant will gain valuable experience and become a better wrestler. Athletes compete in weight classes and divisions based on age. Club participants do not compete for starting positions for Individual Tournaments. In most situations, tournaments are open to all members.

ACWC teaches all 3 styles of wrestling; Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco Roman. Folkstyle, the predominant form of scholastic wrestling in the United States, is found in middle school, high school, and college programs. Freestyle and Greco-Roman focus more on wrestling from the feet. They are identical except that Greco-Roman is limited to upper-body holds. Folkstyle, on the other hand, places greater emphasis on establishing and maintaining control and involves more mat wrestling.
